Sound Therapy

What is Sound therapy & audio visual mind entrainment?

Since time immemorial, wisdom teaches the importance of silence. We often escape the hustle and bustle of contemporary living to find quiet places. We strive, through worship and meditation practice, to cultivate silence. It seems innately we yearn for the tranquillity and clarity that comes with silence – freedom from the inner and outer noise.
When last have you disappeared into sound? Think about the sound of a babbling brook, as you take in the night sky. You must know at least one person whose voice moves you, almost seems to touch you when you listen.
Sound therapy uses frequencies to help balance the body. Carefully applied, sound has an effect on mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.
Audio-visual entrainment (AVE) facilitates the neurofeedback process by using lights and pulses of tones to stimulate the brain into various brain wave patterns. This boosts your mood, alleviates disruptive sleep patterns, improves cognitive activity and induces deep relaxation. AVE is also used with athletes to enhance physical performance and endurance.
When it is presented with pulsed audio and visual stimulation, the brain begins to resonate or entrain at the same frequency as the stimuli. After time, the mind experiences silence and the brain’s functioning is measurably improved.

What does it do?

Our sound therapy technicians take you on a journey through sound. We also host sound meditation gatherings, where you can engage in the collective journey.
After sound therapy, the following conditions show improvement:
  • Chronic pain
  • Stress-related illness
  • Mild depression
  • Anxiety
  • Absence of life purpose
  • Poor self-confidence
  • Social and emotional stresses
  • Poor auditory processing
  • Poor communication
  • Poor motor coordination
After audio-visual entrainment, the following conditions show improvement:
  • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
  • Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic pain
Internal noise is the worst kind. When the mind is unsettled we do not respond appropriately to the incessant impulses of modern living. Our general sense of wellbeing, critical and higher order thinking and decision-making abilities are compromised. Sound therapy and audio-visual entrainment offer the resonance we need.
Resolution happens when dissonance becomes resonance
